No, each sperm and egg do not have half a soul.
Catholics believe that a soul is created at the point of conception.
The Catholic Church has no problem with menstruation or with most sperm that never get to an egg during sex.
Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years that:
- Single people should be celibate
- Married people should be faithful to each other
Therefore masturbation is not what God intended when he gave us the beautiful gift of sex.
With love in Christ.

No, we don't believe each sperm and egg have half a soul.
The Church's teaching against masturbation have nothing to do with the life status of the sperm or egg. It has to do with the idea that it's a selfish use of the great gift of sexuality that God gave us.
The Church doesn't have a problem with "menstruation." Nowhere is menstruation defined as sinful -- because, obviously, it's a natural process over which a woman has no control.
As for the last part of your question, the part about sperm never getting to the egg, I'm afraid I don't know what you mean.

Catholics don't have a problem with menstruation. Where did you hear that? Catholics have no problem with any naturally occurring thing like menstruation. Catholics do not believe each sperm and egg have half a soul. Masturbation is wrong because the individual is taking advantage of the gift of sexuality that God gave us.

no, catholics don't believe in "half souls". the magic only happens when they fuse. the whole is much more than its parts according to them. lol, they don't care about sperm lost during procreational sex. although masturbation is bad because its a sexual act not done for procreational purposes. menstruation is a curse brought on by eve getting adam to eat the fruit from the tree. a punishment if you will.

The Catholic Church has nothing to say with concerns to menstruation, because it is not a sin. Masterubation, however, is a sin. The Catecshism of the Catholic Church teaches:
2396 Among the sins gravely contrary to chastity are masturbation, fornication, pornography, and homosexual practices.
2352 By masturbation is to be understood the deliberate stimulation of the genital organs in order to derive sexual pleasure. "Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the course of a constant tradition, and the moral sense of the faithful have been in no doubt and have firmly maintained that masturbation is an intrinsically and gravely disordered action." "The deliberate use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose." For here sexual pleasure is sought outside of "the sexual relationship which is demanded by the moral order and in which the total meaning of mutual self-giving and human procreation in the context of true love is achieved."
To form an equitable judgment about the subjects' moral responsibility and to guide pastoral action, one must take into account the affective immaturity, force of acquired habit, conditions of anxiety or other psychological or social factors that lessen, if not even reduce to a minimum, moral culpability.

even if if a sperm enters an egg...it does no longer recommend a baby receives beginning! After 5 weeks of pregnency, an major "experience" observed as heart-beat has to ensue alongside with the introduction of Yolk sake (from which the destiny baby receives its initial nurishment) and fetal pole (destiny backbone wire)... so if any soul enters the body then its at the same time as the heart beat starts after 5 weeks....many a cases heart-beat does no longer look and the baby (that's no extra then a lump of flesh) desires to be removed from womb! So, egg and sperm are not any more something extra yet cells wearing DNA.

I don't know. But I do remember a monk that theorized that the fetus couldn't possibly have a soul before the first week because the cells can still split into twins up to that point and there was no way for a soul to split.
I'm not a believer, but it is an interesting argument.

No, Catholics do not believe that each sperm and eqq have half a soul. With such a ridiculous question there doesn't need to be anymore of an explanation.

The problem with masterbation is the lust factor. You can't masterbate unless you are turned on by something and according to the bible that is a sin. No problems with menstration haha! They don't believe that sperm and eggs have a soul but they do believe that life starts at conception, therefore abortion is murder. The problem with casual, outside of marriage sex is that it is supposed to be sacred and only for man and wife.

I am Catholic and I don't, but I know the church has a different belief. The church doesn't have a problem with menstruation, they have a problem with masturbation because it is a sin.
