After you take them to the vet for that special operation, do they still have as much fun grooming themselves. Do they feel their trust was betrayed? Do they try and get at yours?

What out for cheap fake mutt nuts. My dog had them put in and they used pickled onions for the job. Now every time he barks his eyes water.

I think you are reading too much into dog psychology. They probably don't even realize what's happened and they won't harbor any ill feelings toward you. Dogs live in the moment so treat them the same as always or you could be seen as weak in the dog world if you try to "be nice" to them to make up for feeling guilty. If that happens, they will take over as the dominant one and then you'll have problems. You shouldn't feel guilty, of course, because you've taken the stress of wanting to mate away from them.

I understand that for those who present their dogs at shows, there is something of a stigma to them having been fixed, and a firm markets, and sells, FAKE MUTT'S NUTTS which the vet can put in place under anasthetic, to leave the dog with a 'complete' appearance. That's just too mad... but it's true.

well you can leave the empty sacks there if you like just to make him feel like he has still got a bit of manhood left! i think it would be a shame 4 a dog 2 loose its balls just for the sake of it..... leave them there and let him have his fun...

They didn't know they had them in the first play, and I'm sure they don't blame you...unless you are the one who removed them one night in your workshop or something. they...are....dogs! They can't even decide where to lay down half the time.
