I.D. shows us that within the gaps in science, the signature of God, the Creator (Designer) is found. All the unanswered questions of Theology and Science can be answered when you merge equal parts of each.
Only through true harmonious integration of theology and science can our world be completely understood (and logically explained).
* There are proven gaps in scientific knowledge.
* Intelligence leaves behind a characteristic signature (like an artist) of logical progression through a series of systematic methodical stages.
* The gaps in science are filled in by acts of a Designer.
* The scientific study of fossil records reveals these signatures again and again.
* God Created the process of Evolution!
* Evolution shows the existence of God!
The key Principle of I.D. is Science Harmoniously Integrating Theology (or S.H.I.T.)
Intelligent Design - coming soon to a school near you.

LOL... Christians are claiming evolution now? I know extremely few Christians who think we evolved from apes. Though there are always exceptions to the rules.

They can't take claim the Idea of evolution because they haven't evolved the needed brain capacity to formulate rational thought.

lol, no. they're still against small (or big) changes occurring over a period of millions of years due to the pressures of nature and the elasticity of animals. instead they prefer it's so complicated it must have been "designed" that way from the very beginning. intelligent design is just creationism with a pseudo science covering.

The idea of "intelligent design" was proposed long ago.
Einstein even used the term and he was an atheist who did not believe the universe was created. Nor did he believe in God.
"Intelligent design" as used by scientists does not mean "God did it."

Hehe, I hadn't thought of it that way... But I suppose that is pretty much what they're doing.
"Yes, even though the bible clearly says otherwise, we just interpreted it incorrectly at first. But yes, god was talking about evolution from the get go. Soooo... let's just forget this 7 day stuff, and keep on believing... amen?"

I don't know. But we can see evolution just by looking at the heights of people throughout the ages.

No. But Catholics had the idea of evolution millennia before Darwin.
Let me quote at length from FUNDAMENTALS OF CATHOLIC DOGMA
1. The materialist doctrine of evolution...is contrary to Revelation.
2. The doctrine of evolution based on the theistic conception of the world, which traces matter and life to God's causality and assumes that organic being, developed from originally created seed-powers (St. Augustine) or from stem forms (doctrine of descent), according to God's plan, is compatible with the doctrine of Revelation. However, as regards to MAN, a special creation by God is demanded, which must extend at least to the spiritual soul. Individual Fathers, especially St. Augustine, accepted a certain development of living creatures. Proceeding from the assumption that God creates everything at one time (cf. Ecclus. 18.1), they taught that God brought a certain part of His creation into existence in a finished state, while He created others in the form of primitive seeds (rationes, seminales, or causales) from which they were gradually to develop. Those Fathers and Schoolmen who accepted a development, conceived a development of the individual species of living things each from a particular primitive form created by God; but modern theories of evolution (descendent theory) conceives that development as from one species to another. According as these give priority to evolution from a plurality of original forms or from one single stem-form (primitive form) one speaks of a many-stemmed (polyphyletic) or single-stemmed (monophyletic) development. From the standpoint of the doctrine of evolution, either form is possible.
