Now i know iam not a man but, I think if a woman and man both work i think then the house duties should be shared and the duties concerning the kids should be shared as well.BUT if the woman is a stay at home mom she should keep the house and the kids together the house should be clean, and food should be cooked when you get home the kids should be clean and together. Now she should be respected for this because this is a job.she is teaching and guiding your legacy (your kids) which is the hardest job ever.So to answer your question it is very important.

My husband doesn't care if he comes home to a tidy house or a trashed one. He is just happy to be home with his family.
I do more housework because I'm home all day - that's not a big deal. But our family is very active and very creative. But what part of a "peaceful haven" does your wife get? If you think that taking care of kids is easy - you're very mistaken. My husband can take off during any part of the day and go to lunch by himself, take a run by himself, shop by himself...whatever he wants. I'm not allowed that luxury. I'm not trying to downplay your work - but can you say that you were directly responsible for two or three people's lives every second of that workday?
I don't want to jump on the "you're a sexist snot" bandwagon because honestly that's not the vibe I'm getting.
Not trying to be rude, but it seems that you are more focused on appearance rather than substance.
If you want a maid, hire one. If you want a good wife and a good mother to your children, smile and pick up your own socks from the bathroom floor!!!!

About as important as it is for a man to check the calendar and realize we are living in the year 2006 and therefore he should get a clue, a mop, and maybe even an apron for himself and help out around the house.

Buddy, your home wasn't a "peaceful haven" for your wife while she was at work chasing your children all day, why on Earth would it suddenly be a peaceful haven upon your arrival?

Sure, if you were my husband I would answer the door to you naked with a cold beer in one hand.
Then I would let you eat the fabulous dinner I cooked for you, then give you a massage and then whisk you off to bed.
I'd be a good housewife, wouldn't I?!

Personally I prefer to go out with people as untidy as myself! and as for going home after a hard days work to find she has done the house work - gezz! It must be nice to be able to survive on just one persons wage!

Your housewife????? If you found someone stupid enough to marry you with an attitude like that, I'll bet she's stupid enough to do what you want, so why are you asking?

If this was a serious question, you'd get a smack in the teeth from someone...
As it is only a joke (cos it has to be), you won't get a serious response...
