If you bought the camera with lens, i assume you got 18-70mm Nikon DX lens, which is a high quality as well as multi purpose lens. I think it will work very well for wedding pictures. You have a wide angle too. In wedding you really do need wide angle lens.

My experience on Canon Camera so I had to buy 17-40mm lens for my Canon EOS10D.
