They are business partners and we always argue because he treats me like a child. he mocks me, talks down to me, and even does that teacher voice, you know "And why won't we do this again...?" kind of crap. He think's that I have no "passion" for what they're doing, and he actually said that I have no right to decide anything in the business. It really pisses me off, but I have to take it because it means so much to my boyfriend. He stands up for me, but he's not there all the time. How do i get him to have a little respect for me?

Stop getting involved in those childish games with him. He can't argue and mock himself. As far as deciding things in the business...that's up to your bf to decide. If he likes your input then continue to give it. And I would refrain from being around the friend when your bf isn't there. That's just asking for trouble.

Oh as far as him respecting you...who cares if he doesn't if you respect yourself? Your worth isn't decided based upon someone else's measure.

ignore him, he'll get pissed off and will want to talk about it. that time u can tell him that u don't like the way he talks to u and u think that he's showing no respect to u at all. just don't involve ur bf cz his situation is very sensitive

Be pedantic and condescending right back to him, don't take any crap off him or you'll be putting up with it forever...
