Depending on the natural color of your hair. Or, whatever color it is now. You could do it yourself if you are a dishwater blonde, but if not...you may end up with green hair. No kidding. Green. I used to color my hair platinum blonde and I used Loreal Les Blondness..or something like that. You may have to do it a few times though. Tanning in a bed also helps lighten bleached hair. Make sure you use a deep conditioner though. Like Biolage Deep Cond Balm. Do not color your hair more than once in a week. Preferably if you have to do it more than once wait at least a week. Let your hair breathe a little. Yes, your ear is going to swell, but its best to get it done professionally. Not safe for doing at home. Go to Claires in a mall...its free when you buy the earrings.

Ok, bleaching your hair - you can do it yourself, but follow the directions otherwise you could over process your hair, making it brittle and almost white (stripping all the color away). Another idea would be to see if there is a beauty school in your area. you can call them and let them know what you are looking to have done. They may been in need of a "model" to have one of their students do color. There will be a professional there guiding the student so nothing goes wrong.
As to piercings - have someone else - a professional - do it for you. Doing it yourself without using sterilized instruments could lead to big time infection, which is gross and can also cause some other nasty things. Pending on where you live, malls usually have a store (like Claire's or Icing, etc) that offer piercing services. Ear piercing. If you want anything else pierced, you would need to look up in your town for that. Superpages.com would probably have listings - or Google. Good luck!

Oh dear!
What are you doing to yourself!! Well I have been there, not the piercing stuff, but the hair dye.
Hair dyes that you buy from the shop are not as strong as the ones that the salon would use. To get your hair that bright white blond you will really need to go to the salon. If you have dark hair (black) it will not go bright white blond it will be more of a warm tone and warm tones are red!! so dont be surprised if you go a big ginger!! The salon should be able to peroxide your hair and lift its colour fast by using heat or foils. If you are brown you could get lucky but your will be more yellow blond. If you are ginger (red) then its a bit easier a good bright blond should lift it but be warned leaving it on too long can make your hair very brittle or in fact make it come out in clumps!!
I have been there tried it and suffered, best result go to the salon and just shove the bill onto your credit card!
Good luck

as far as bleaching your hair - unless you know what youare doing, you could do permanent damage to it and even have it break off. Better to get it professionally done, or for w less expensive alternative, look for a beauty school - they take clients, the students are supervised and it costs less than a regular salon.
Although I too, pierced myself, just be sure to sterilize everything and keep the pierced area clean. There is some swelling and tenderness, but generall that passes in a couple of days. Be sure to use a gold stud or hypoallergenic.

Think about this (and I have been a stylist for years):
You will have to touch up your out growth every two weeks or so. Now, when using bleach, you can't overlap new bleach with already bleached hair or your hair will become weak and break off. This is called a "chemical haircut". If you have longer hair, it is very traumatizing to have a chemical haircut because it breaks off at the scalp in clumps.
I've seen it too many times. And you could get gangrene from piercing your own skin. Please leave things like this to trained professionals.

Yes piercing yourself really is that dangerous, people who pierce are trained not just in how to punch holes into your skin with needles but also in what to do if something goes wrong – bare in mind pierce in the wrong place or go into body shock then that is you dead. They also know about blood, infections, and have sterile equipment. Piercing yourself is a little like performing your own operation, you would be risking infection, the likes of hep B, scaring, tissue damage, etc. etc. etc.

You should not pierce yourself (or anyone else) unless you know what you are doing and have the correct sterile and biologically compatible equipment. Save some money up and go see a properly licenced piercer.
The swelling up was your immune system rejecting either your jewelry or the germs/dirt you introduced to yourself with your DIY attempt.

i don't know about the hair but you should defiantly not pierce anything yourself first of all u might not have the right cleaning supplies, and u could get infected second you could bust a vein or nerve and paralyze your face, and a paralyzed face does not go good with a piercing
