If you care about each other and your happy together don't question something that you could end up spoiling because you think others will care. I'm 20 years old and I'm dating a guy that's 30 it's a 10 year difference and that doesn't bother me at all. You would be surprised how many people in the world are apart in ages. Alot of people I know think I'm stupid but you know what I'm happy and I have more in common with this guy than anyone I've been with before I love to be with him he's fun and interesting. Don't worry enjoy your time together and have fun. Age is only a number it's just there to tell us how many years each of us has been on the earth! That's all i think of the ages. After a certain age people can date and do what they want!!!

Its not a question of age to anybody else but the two who are in the relationship. If the woman doesn't feel comfortable with a 58 year old man then they shouldn't be together, or the same with the man, if he doesn't feel comfotable with a 39 woman then they should stop seeing each other. But if they are comfortable with each other and their ages are not really a factor of concern then they should do whatever they want.

Do you like each other? Do you share interests? Has your age difference posed any problem for you yet?
If you like each other, go for it. If the age will be a problem only time will tell. Try it, or go on with life alone and wonder if it might have been a good match.

Being in my thirties, I see no problem with dating someone in their fifties. The older you get, age seems to matter less. When I was 20 I would not have dated a 35 year old. But now, I don't have a problem with someone 20 years older.

I was given this formula once. Take the man's age, divided by two, add 7. This is the ideal age. Ideal is relative, of course. In your case, that's 36. You're in the ballpark.

I think once you've reached those ages, it becomes irrelevant. You've both experienced life and are old enough to understand most things. Age is more important when one if VERY young and the other has already chalked up lots of experience.......I think its harder to relate when you cannot talk about life experiences in a real sense.....

Not really, but you do have to consider the age thing will become more obvious when he is 88 and you are 69. If that does not trouble you, then go for it!

I think that age is relative. Mental age is more important. I think you have a great chance if you enjoy each other's company and no one wants to start having babies or anything. Go for it!

It's depend on who you are. If you have no problem with age, then it is okay, because age can make you sick and depress. You don't need to be with someone who is going to die soon and left you lonely in this world.
