I have a picky eater. Try changing the food gradually to something else, but stay with a healthy food. And maybe try canned mixed with the dry. It is okay for a dog to go 1-2 days without eating as long as the dog eats the third day... my dog does this often... and her vet says it's okay.

I have a 2 yr old yorkie and he sometimes does this. I feed him Nutro Max both dry and canned food. However, if you do change his food I would carefully about this. It could make it sick. I changed mine and he started to get diarrhea and I had to put him back on his other food. Just be patient with it. But yorkies do have sentitive stomachs so remember this when you are deciding on what to do. Give your vet a call, they don't charge you to call and ask a question.

Gosh, I don't know!
Is he sick? Or has he been spoiled by people food?
A couple I know have a beagle that the man used to give people-food to all the time- and the dog frankly got fat and wouldn't eat his own food because he knew he would get all the people-stuff he wanted. Until a vet pointed out that the dog has heart problems.
Go ahead and put his own food out. If he gets hungry enough, he'll eat it.

Its because they are like us if we eat the same food for a long period of time then we are going to get sick and tired of it. So my advice is change the food for a little while then put it back on its original food later cause it just needs a change in its food.

Like us, they sometimes get tired of eating the same thing all the time. Try another dog food, a good quality one.

i have a bad habit of baby-ing my dog too much. When he was a pup i handfed him dryfood and he enjoyed it, now im stuck doing this for 15 years. Anyways, I feed him Beneful....he especially likes the red meaty chunks (great source of protein)
