Don't bother trying to talk sense with them. They have a need to be always right,no matter how actually wrong they may be.

Lets see what it says IN CONTEXT

Mt 5:21 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’
Mt 5:22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Mt 5:23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,
Mt 5:24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
Mt 5:25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
Mt 5:26 I tell you the truth, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny

This is self righteous people looking down onthers thinking they are better. Even Jesus called people hypocrites and fools

Mt 23:13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
Mt 23:15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.
Mt 23:16 “Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’
Mt 23:17 You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?

Look at this verse

Gal 5:12 As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!

these are expressing RIGHTEOUS ANGER at those who refuse God and twist God's word

Yeah, they also say I'm a devil worshipper that will eventually go to Hell, because I am an atheist and a Satanist.

Clearly they only retain the parts of the bible that they want to retain to threaten other who are not like them.
