I was in Chennai for a vacation in January. During this time we had dinner at a Chinese restaurant (not sure which one, but it was nice) and at the door they had a dish of the best crystallized ginger I have ever eaten in my life. As I recall it was sort of thin, crisp, and light. Now I am back in the States and I am craving it, the stuff we have here is much more gummy. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Can anyone help me find some? It's a long shot I know.

If you have a store called Trader Joe's where you live, that is where you can get it. I eat the stuff all the time.

You can probably find them in natural food stores, or if you can find an asian store around.
