why would it???

Unless there is fat which would be oil if heated is running out of your food then there is no fat loss.

In bread all that would be lost from toasting is moisture. (water) and therefore would feel a little lighter.

Trobop: It doesn't make a bit of difference. But you know break only has 1 to 2 grams of fat per slice. If you are feeling guilty try whole wheat bread. Just make sure to look at the ingredients you don't want to see enriched whole wheat, you want the first ingredient to be WHOLE WHEAT. At lot of wheat breads are made with white flour, so you need to look at the label! And then just watch what you put on your toast, if you're concerned about fat, lay off the butter or margarine. Use a bit of apple jelly or whatever flavor you love. Ya it has sugar, but no fat and a little goes a long ways. You have to like what you are eating. Trying to eat healthy does not mean having to eat things you don't like!

It would seem to have at least calories but I'm not sure. Check out:

Q: Which has more calories, a slice of regular bread or toast?

A: The calorie and nutrient content of bread is the same whether it is toasted or not. Also, it does not differ significantly between white, rye or whole wheat breads or toasts.

Depends on type of bread and how it is cooked.

Best! :-)

Actually bread doesn't have a whole lot of fat in it to begin with. Toasting it just makes it warm and crisp. Fat content stays the same or is worse if you put butter or peanut butter on it.

Yes it will have less fat and calories, however very trivial. When you toast (burn) bread, you are are spending some of the breads energy (calories).

It still has the same fat content and calories. Nothing changes if it's toasted.

Toasting bread does not change the caloric content, it simply changes the texure and taste.
