Getting your teeth cleaned takes off stain, plaque, tartar or calcalus.
Your teeth may become damaged by not getting cleanings and letting all of the stuff mentioned above sit on your teeth and breed bacteria.
Also baking soda isn't a good idea. It WILL wear down your enamel. Try this if you don't think so:
rub some baking soda mixed with water between your fingers for a minute of two. It will rub your skin off. Keep doing that with your toothbrush on your teeth every day and eventually will wear off your enamel which doen't grow back as the skin on your fingertips will.

The teeth will not be damaged but you will notice they aremomre sensitive to cold.

Yes, your enamel will erode and you will get sensitive teeth. Stop bleaching and try something natural like baking soda.
