I am 23 and I live with my mother.. I am finding that I am short with her lately. I am in my career, and I pay $350.00 a month to live there, and pay for all of my own stuff. The two of us have been living there for 3 years. When ever I talk about moving out, she always says that she doesn't want me too, and makes me feel guilty. Should I move out? She has be planned in her 5 year plan, and that makes me guilty as well. She has arthritis, and has a hard time walking up and down stairs.

Your mother can't always depend on you. You have to get out sometime in your life. Maybe she's just afraid of what will happen to you. Maybe the two of you should have a heart to heart talk about the matter.

She may be wanting you to wait until you get married to leave the home. If you feel that y'all are getting short with each other, it's time for you to move out. You are an adult. She may make you feel guilty, but if you move close and keep in touch, I think you will find that things will improve.

You feel she is keeping you from doing what you want. You should be able to move and live your own life and she is controlling you emotionally. Don't ever let ANYONE do that to you. It is manipulation and if you don't do something about it the 5 year plan will turn into the ????? plan....Good Luck

ur getting short with her cus u want out of that living arrangement! I dont blame u, my nerves would be frazzled if i still lived with my mom.

yesss move out. you're short cuz you're mad you don't have your full independence. i know, i'm 28 and got sucked back in to living at home. now i'm trying to get out.
