Humans are by nature sinful and dishonest. Yet they are trusted to write God's book (which has been edited over the years)? If God could create Heaven and Earth why not write his own book?

I believe in God just not the bible, how dare anyone claim to know what God thinks, I have more respect for God, there are hundreds of archaeological finds proving that the bible that exists was put into place by church hierarchy that had ulterior motives for including and not including what THEY wanted in the bible, only someone who had ALL the original texts and could read them in the original language that they were written in would have a good understanding of what the ancient religious leaders had in mind, and who's to say they were God inspired, insane asylums are full of people who hear God

Isn't it an incredible statement of how He values and dignifies us, how He desires to raise us up, redeem us, and empower us to live like Him? Isn't it amazing that God not only can still partner with humanity, but eagerly desires to? He is committed and determined. He could just do it all Himself, but He desires to involve us--and not in some patronizing way.
A third of the angels rebelled and He did nothing. Yet 100% of humanity rejected Him and what did He do? He "took on flesh and fought for us unto death." The incarnation is the greatest statement of God's heart towards broken, jacked-up humanity. He expressed Himself in the written Word, but then He became the Living Word...
It's amazing, that He is able to do the miracle of a transformed heart, to redeem us and dignify us again. If we want Him to.

I've never been able to understand why people who are so obviously non believers, are so worried about these things. The only purpose you can possibly have is to cause dissension. Dissension is evil, the work of the devil. Do you believe in him?
See, the thing is, I don't care what you think. What you think is of no consequence. In the end we'll all know the truth. You can tell all this to God when you stand before him to be judged.

If you feel that strongly on that note, then talk to God yourself. Ask him who and what you should believe and he will tell you, you just have to listen and pay attention to the signs he will give you.
