We are installing laminate flooring ourselves in mobile home. While the flooring locks into place easily, the walls seem to be off just a little which makes the laminate crooked in some places, it doesn't line up correctly and causes cracks where the laminates meet (they interlock on the sides but the cracks occur where the laminates meet top to bottom. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Do you live anywhere near a Home Depot store? My husband and I bought laminate and discovered the same problems. We took a 2 hour course, free, at Home Depot and it was the greatest decision we'd ever made. It really helped because they told us all about the walls never being straight and how to get past that particular common problem. It was worth it and I highly recommend it.

The problem could be that your floor is not level enough to install a Laminate floor. Try putting down a subfloor and then levelling with a levelling compound, consult your sales person for the amount of deviation you can get away with. If they cant help you maybe you should hire a professional installer, it is worth it in the long run

If the walls are out of square, the best way to lay flooring is to start with a perfectly straight line a few inches from a long wall. Start laying flooring along this line and trim as necessary when you get to walls/other obstacles. Scribe along the wall and trim flooring to fill the gap you left at the start, making sure to leave 1/4"+ of gap for expansion, and cover this with baseboard trim.
