A lot of women use the pill for different physical ailments in the reproductive system. The doctor prescribed it for me for regulation. It isn't just for contraception.

As touched on by some of these others - god that we know of does not have a problem with this. It is a common misconception. I believe it is the Catholics spreading this garbage around. How to explain it.

No contraception = more Catholics = more donations in their baskets - big business brainwash - don't buy into it.

Not to be condescending but if you think I am making this up well here's an idea - education - I learned through college you should try it. Introductory anthropology will probably give you enough 'facts'.

It is not that god doesn't lik contraception, but that it is a sin to have premarital sex. So if you are waiting untill marriage, and are just using the pills for pain it is the same as taking an asprin. God loves us and understands if we are doing something for the right reasons.

God never said he doesn't like em, people said that. If the pain is really bothering you, then take them. It is not wrong, isn't life to be enjoyed and be happy. Wouldn't God want you to be happy? If taking the pill and making the pain go away makes you happy then you have the right to do that, and God will still love you either way.

The Pope who recently died...was the one to come out and say that contraception was wrong. There is no where in the bible that says that its wrong. When I tied my tubes 4 yrs ago, my family had a fit. They said it was against the catholic church. well tell me this...will the Pope pay for the children that you have if you dont use contraception? NOPE!! You keep doing what is right for you. and If we are all wrong...well then I say..Sometimes its better to ask for forgiveness than permission. Good luck and blessed be!

I don`t think God doesn`t mind people using contraception. It is the priests of various religions who have said so, so the population of the religion increases and they can have more people to rule on.
God would never want to bind us cos of that he gave us a brain too which we should use. IF we just had to go by the holy books or what other people say we won`t have got so much brains and ability to think.

Girl, I did that when I was 13. Makes you feel weird even if someone finds out. I felt like people thought I was lying when i told them why i took it. It is not wrong. It helps with pain and gets you regular, then when you DO get married it will be in your system and if you aren't ready for a baby yet, you're set!

You are not using the pill to prevent contraception. It is medically prescribed for a painful condition you have and that is perfectly okay in that case. Good for you for wanting to wait for marriage to give yourself to your future husband. Purety and Chastity are sorely missing from our culture today.

The Bible says nothing about contraception, that is mainly the Catholics trying to limit who has sex (fear of a baby should help prevent some from having sex). I see it as a personal matter between you and God, pray about it and the answer should come to you.

You 'know' that god doesn't like contraception? What about std's? Are you going to risk catching something because your bible/church/religion say's stopping procreation is wrong? This is the 21st century, look past religion and do what's right for YOUR body and YOUR health and future.....
