I own a Sony T-33, I can never get a picture with resolution above 72 dpi...?

I also own a Canon 10D, that camera I shoot RAW, but i can't on this camera what can I do to get better quality shots? Too lazy to read the manual. I have it set on 5 megapixels at all times.

The megapixels don't effect the DPI. GO into the camera menu settings and where it says DPI set it to 120 or 300
