a green tinge near the bone in the connective tissues and bone capsule are not unusual, chicken is low in myoglobin (the stuff that makes red meat red) so it will show colors more easily than other meats, a little bone marrow leaking from a cracked bone will often turn green or greenish brown if cooked in a low oxegen environment (like inside a peice of incut chicken meat) dont panic.

Yerk that sounds awful... do you have a number you can call for a government source of some kind that would know the answer? I would keep a piece of the green chicken in case you have to go to the hospital. I have never heard of green chicken and I worked in food service for many years, here in Canada we can call the ministry of agriculture with questions like that.

Save the chicken and if you do get sick and have to go to the emergency room they'll know what caused it. It's rotten to the core!!! (Unless it was a green chicken in which case you're all right.)

I seen chicken like that when I worked at KFC.
I told them about it and they said "cook it up."
I said " WHAT..I wouldn't eat that so why do you want me to use it."
They said "cook it up. OK."
After about 3 hours or so They asked me. "How green was it?"
I laughed and said "well how green does it have to be?...it was green!"
I found out later some people got sick. They wanted to blame me for it.
I said "look, I asked! I said NOT to use it! You Told me to cook it up! You (assistant manager) without looking at it told ME to cook it up! It is Your Fault NOT mine.
The next day the owner comes in and asked me the same thing.
He said you're right it wasn't your fault.
I also told him. If I didn't ask I would have just thrown it out.
