jews no longer need to sacrifice animals or flour (as that could do as well) because the temple was destroyed and g-d commands us not to sacrifice outside the temple. OUR prayer and repentance is all that is needed now.

first off its just like the others said.

Their can not be any more sacrifices when the Temple mount is not in Jewish hands, This was also true between the first and second temple eras when the majority of Jews were exiled Babylon.

Now I have a question for you. According to the NT Jesus died about 33 AD and the temple was destroyed 70 AD during those years the Apostates continued to follow the Law of the OT and part of that Law is to bring sacrifices. Why did they do that if they had the perfect sacrifice?

It was forced upon them due to the destruction of the temple in Jerulsalem around 90AD by the Romans from what I understand.

they didn't stop because of Jesus that's for sure. they don't do any animal sacrfices anymore.
