Whats the difference between a relationship and being married?

The difference is the commitment level. When you ask someone for their hand in marriage, your basically saying I want to spend the rest of my life with you basically finalizing your commitment it doesn't mean you will spend the rest of your life but that should be the case going in. When your in a relationship, your basically seeing each other for the moment it could lead to more of a definite committment meaning marriage or it may not.
