Well at first you'll find it hard to eat, or do anything, and your teeth would hurt a lot, but you'll get used to it, when you bite your food , don't bite immediately with your teeth, first take out for example a small portion of your sandwich with your hand , then chew on it slowly , good luck

Listen to the advice of the orthodontist about what to eat and what not to eat. Be sure to stay hydrated, drink lots of water. Don't stress out, and remember that when they come off you are going to look and feel great! Braces may such while they are on, but they are good for you in the long run. Keep your mouth clean too. Mouthwash and stuff, you know the drill.

When I got my braces, I came home and tried to eat a hamburger... It was impossible, when I tried to bite down, my teeth were only strong enough to bite through the bread. It sucked. I suggest that you enjoy your chomping power, b/c you will probably be sore. Also, make sure your dentist gives you some wax b/c you will need it!

It's going to hurt and be really uncomfortable and basic a huge nuisance for the next few years, but it is definitely worth it!

well, there's not really that much to it. I got them about a year ago and it isn't that bad. It didn't hurt while they were putting them on, but my mouth was sore the day//night after. um.. i can suggest wetting a washcloth with warm//hot water and putting it in your mouth to ease the pain.

good luck!

well braces hurt......... only when you tighten them, try thinking of something else besides "that hurts" and maybe you'll feel better.
