They are not that expensive. You can pick one up at any electronics store or do a search online. Expect to pay about $20 or so. Just check and see what kind of port your computer can support before you buy one. A lot of newer keyboards use a usb port and an older computer might not be able to support that. Then again, this could be a great excuse if you are looking for an excuse to buy a new computer *wink*

Keyboards range from $10 at wal mart and increase as you get into wireless and so forth. Save yourself the trouble and buy a new one. You can also check at your local good will store, most keyboards are universal and even the older one's still work I just picked up a spare for $3.00 there.

some keyboards are nice and easy, and others are a rippoff, but u said u had it for 2 years, then u should clean it out if its all sticky and has food crumbs in it. i had the same problem with mine before. all my little bros and sisters use to eat by the comp., and got a whole bunch of food in it, but after i cleaned it out t was kinda easier to use, so if that doesnt work, i suggest that u just buy a new one.

the air can stuff will run you $5 so unless you have some other need for it just buy another key board.
first check the sunday paper. go thru the ads and see if any electronic store has them cheap, i'm talking less than $10 cheap. they almost always run some kind of promo.
other wise go to ebay.

I would have to agree with the others saying to just get a new one. If it's already giving you problems, it probably won't get much better. Like others have said, you can get a basic keyboard for around $10, but you can get much higher if you want to get into things like wireless keyboards with extra buttons and features. But for just a basic keyboard, cost isn't much of a factor.

at Staples or another office supply store, you should be able to get a keyboard cleaner for a couple bucks - basically a can of compressed air w/a tiny straw attached.
you may need to get a new keyboard. they start cheap, 10 or 20 bucks probably.

You could clean it out, but if you dont mind paying like $10 or so, get a new one. you can also buy a nice new one that's WIRELESS for like $25 to $35 bucks.

Get one of those cans of air to spray out the gunk. If you have spilled anything on it (wine, beer, soda, juice) then that stuff has congealed and it is time for a new one.
