yes, every little good deed helps, even having an intention to do something good is a reward.

Christianity is not the only religion with a 'savior' type figure. It's actually a pretty common theme, but the character in question is generally a particularly enlightened soul, or an intermediary between god and man.
In the first century, savior based religions were a dime a dozen.

That is an exelent question - and it highlights why Christianity is teh only faith that makes any sort of sence.
What exactly do you think you are going to give to your God? What is it that you can create that does not already belong to God?
If your God already demands that you live rightiously, and perform various good deeds - then how is it that good deeds are suposedly the way to please your God? Why do you want credit for something you are suposed to do?
To answer your question - Yes - Christianity is the only faith that incorperates the idea of a Savior - and s focused on what God does for us - not on what we do for God - though there are plenty of folks who would turn Christianity into a good-deeds racket.

Yes Christianity is the only religion where the father allowed for his son to be murdered (not sacrificed). Judaism nope, Islam-nope even Paganism doesn't have a "sacrificial lamb". To me that attests to the violent nature of Christianity. Any ways....The only way we can reconcile with the creator is to reconcile within ourselves, see what needs to be changed to be better and do what it takes with out harming anyone or anything to do it. We all carry the spark of the divine within each and everyone of us, and that is our link to the divine.

Great question!!! I believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only SAVIOR. No one and nothing can even compare to Him. And to answer your other question, NO -- man's attempts at good works will NEVER and could never be enough to save us. That would basically nullify what Christ did for us on the cross (it's like saying what He did wasn't good enough!) Give me a break! :-)

No!
A savior saves the humankind of the religion. In Christianity there is but not in the Jewish Religion (not yet), Muslim Religion (Muhammed is not a savior) or most Hindu Religions. (I'm not totally sure.)

God is merciful. God is wise. God created us and gave us free will to control our lives. Why would God make people carry a sin just because their ancestor ate a fruit? And why would He make another die for it?

If you read the Bible you know that Jesus willingly came out of love to be a sacrifice for sin to all who would believe. God loves us but He is just and demands righteousness. Jesus is the only one who was fully God and fully man at the same time. He is the only one who lived a sinless life and His righteousness is the only righteousness that can atone for our sins. So Jesus chose to atone for our sins. When He was on the cross, he took the penalty for our sins. God accepted this righteous sacrifice that Jesus so freely gave. When we ask God to forgive our sins and give us His righteousness, He gives us eternal life. He changes our hearts and our nature and gives us the desire to love and obey Him. In John 11:26 Jesus said "Whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die, believest thou this?" Yes sir, I do. Thank You Jesus!
