If masterbation is a sin, then a very high percentage of the teenage/adult population are committing it and the rest don't know what they are missing.

Not necessarily. Depends if you are doing this too frequently and abusing yourself (like every 2-5 hours daily with any inanimate objects anywhere you can) it could lead to a being a sexual dysfunction. Or on the flip side you might be just a little lonely and in need of a great hug! I m here if you need one! LOL!

CCC2352 By masturbation is to be understood the deliberate stimulation of the genital organs in order to derive sexual pleasure. "Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the course of a constant tradition, and the moral sense of the faithful have been in no doubt and have firmly maintained that masturbation is an intrinsically and gravely disordered action."137 "The deliberate use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose." For here sexual pleasure is sought outside of "the sexual relationship which is demanded by the moral order and in which the total meaning of mutual self-giving and human procreation in the context of true love is achieved."

Taken out of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

So yes it's a sin.

Only if you think it is... It is a form of personal satisfaction, such as smoking a cigarette, drinking a beer or jogging 5 miles... After all people have been masturbating for thousands of years... You are not the first or last... The world is not going to fall apart if u do it...

Oh my God...I hope not...but I figure if god didnt want me to play, he wouldnt give me the toys. Many people and/or religions will tell you that God will be angry if you do. It's up to you to belive them or not....listen to your feelings, be your own authority. BE YOUR OWN AUTHORITY. That way at least if you make the wrong choise it will have been your own choice. No one can truelly say with 100% conviction that in their heart they know what God is and what He/she/it wants. if they do they are lying to you and themselves. Therefor their assertion that "mastebation is a sin because it goes against the will of GOD" is in inherent error. If God tells you that it is a sin...then it is. Since I assume he/she/it has not, then perhaps you are to make up YOUR OWN MIND about it.

no, it is never mentioned in the bible. a lot of people try to use the story of onan as evidence but his sin was not spilling his seed but not fulfilling his duty of impregnating his sister-in-law. either way if spilling your seed is a sin then masturbation would only be a sin for men not women. but then a period would be a sin

If you are married and think of other women, besides your wife, then its a sin, because your committing adultery!!

If you are single and do it while thinking of a married woman, then you are commiting adultery!!

But, this is only if you are a Christian. If you are not, then its secularism and remember, if your not, then you are paving your own way to hell, because your "in sin" by being outside of CHRIST.

I wish you well..
