Any crash diet that promises lots of weight loss in a short amount of time I would be wary of. Like the 24 hour Hollywood diet is just fruit juice that makes you lose up to 6 lbs. of water weight (which is easily gained back.) To lose real weight and keep it off, follow these guidelines: Eat 3 balanced meals, with low-fat protein in each meal (cottage cheese, chicken, or tuna). Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Balance your food groups by eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, and try substituting juice or diet pop for real pop. (A pop can be 250-300 calories, as opposed to 0 calories for diet pop.) Stay within 1500 calorie diet and 12-15 grams a fat a day. Limit your carbohydrates, especially your white food products (potatos, white bread, and pasta) because these foods are stored as fat if you don't use it all that day. If you cut out carbos completely and stay on a protien and veggie diet (like the Atkins diet) you will feel hungry a lot, because your body transitions into a "starving" mode, and starts to burn its own fat. Only some people can be disciplined enough to be on this diet and not splurge, but it is a fast way to lose weight. Exercise at least 5 times a week using aerobic activities (running, swimming, anything that gets the heart beating faster) for at least 20 mins. While it would be easy to work longer at the treadmill, be sure and not burnout if you are not used to exercising. And the calories you burn from the extra time can easily be lessoned by not eating, say a piece a cake.

Crash diets can ruin your body. Just cut back to right around 1,500 calories a day and it should take away some weight. Also do some real swimming or running like swimming 100 laps a day or running around the block a bunch of times in one day. It'll get your metabolism up so it'll be more fat burned later on too when you don't necessarily need to be losing weight but you may still want to keep it off if whatever you're doing is going to last you a while.

You need to eat around 1100 calories a day, with no more than a trhird of that from fat. At the same time, step up the moderate excercise. Look at a site like weighlossresources.co.uk for some very sensible online food/excercise diaries to help. You can lose about 4lb a week safely but more will just go back on fast, however excercise will make you look as if you've lost twice that as you tone up

Yea, don't. Diets only work if you continue doing them for the rest of your life. You could lose 10 pounds quick, but right after stopping the diet, you'll put it back on. Just do some exercise and eat healthy. It is the only way that EVERY doctor thinks is good for losing weight.

I dont know about crash diets. They have never worked for me. One thing that is amazing and its not a " diet" but it worked for me, and I didnt starve. Don't eat anything after 7 p.m. Stop drinking soad. Only drink water. And take a multi-vitamin. Eat alot of fruit and vegtables and whole wheats. While your watchig tv do some squats and push-ups, and sit ups. Get 8 hours of sleep everynight. I know it souund slike alot, but I bet oyu will be surprised.

drink a glass of water and a really big breakfast then eat dinner and dont eat anything after 6 p.m. its really easy and it works.being active may help some to but you really dont have to.
its not a crash diet cause them are bad for you but this is a really easy/healthy diet and you should try it.

Drink lemon water *as in real lemon juice, 0 calories* as much as you can stomach and eat tuna, a can or so a day (180ish calories). In addition to the lemon water and tuna each celery (2 calories per stick) or pickles (0 calories but salty) to help fill your stomach. You'll get nearly everything you need as far as vitamins and minerals but you'll be consuming less than 200 calories a day, it's a safe, fast way to drop weight.

The grapefruit diet will allow you to lose 10 pounds in 2- 2 1/2 weeks. I did it for one week and lost 4 pounds. My sister did it and walked the treadmill for 2 days and she lost 5 1/2 pounds in one week.
Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, a glass of grapefruit juice or a whole grapefruit
Lunch: salad any way you want and a glass of grapefruit juice or a whole grapefruit
Dinner: any meat, 2 veggies, a glass of grapefruit juice or a whole grapefruit
optional: 3 snacks in between meals of a grapefruit or glass of grapefruit juice
