Not clear if this is a question or a statement...since there is as question mark at the end, I must assume that you are wanting to buy puppies in Opelousas. However, you did not specify what kind of puppies. Does that mean you will buy any kind of puppy?

Are you talking about Opelousas Louisiana? I used to live there back in the 80s. There was a Jim Bowie museum there.

Why does everyone want to buy a puppy? There are many good dogs and puppies in pounds and shelters all over the country. Dogs and puppies that will be put to sleep if they can't find homes. Some are no kill shelters but I know that these animals can't like living in a kennel with out someone to love them. Go look you might find a dog or puppy that will be your best friend for life and it will not cost you near as much as buying one. And you will feel so good knowing that you saved that dog or puppy from living in a kennel or being put to death. Good luck

Are they Catahoula Leopard hounds? I heard they are the Louisiana State Dog. I think our Austrlian shepherd has some in her; she is bigger than others and very, very energetic. When we walk her with our neighbor's boxer she leans onto his shoulder until he falls down. Also her feet are webbed and she practically lives in her baby pool on hot days, in and out . I have been so interested in these dogs since someone suggested this about ours. I think she could herd buffalo.

Go to Petfinder there should be lots of dogs and other pets in your area for adoption, there is about every breed and there all very cute!
