Vanilla but I like cookies and cream

Throuout history the most popular flavor has been Vanilla. (it is misconcieved that Chocolate is the most popular) Vanilla is used for Ice cream floats, Root beer floats. It is used in making other popular flavors like cookies and cream and chocolate chip cookie dough... Where the cookie dough or cookie itself is blended into the vanilla. It is 1/2 of nearly every swirled cone, and by itself is purchaced nearly as often as Chocolate.
Chocolate is my FAVORITE flavor.

My favorite has to be strawberry (plain and simple, without any actual strawberry chunks), although Ben and Jerry's Phish Food is a close runner up. According to supermarket sales though, Vanilla is #1 in ice cream, followed by chocolate, and then butter pecan. I guess strawberry will just have to settle for being my favorite!

I just heard on National Public Radio that that most popular ice cream flavor world-wide is vanilla.
I'm fond of coffee ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate chunks in it, myself.
