Age has nothing to do with it. The important factors are who will this affect financially. Do you have a family to support that would suffer from this career move? In other words if you make the move and there is no one else to consider, go for it. If there are others involved in your life the decision should take them into consideration but your age is not important especially when people are going to war now in their 40's and early 50's. Good luck to you.

I fly around in helicopters daily.....and judging by the age of some of the pilots some are in the early 50's and just now getting their 4th stripe....hope this helps!

You are NEVER too old to change career paths and what you want out of life.

As a VERY experienced educator, I mentor many "older" first year teachers who change careers in mid-life. Just this year, I mentored a 45 year old male who left Wall Street for Middle School! (-:

Go for it!! Find some info on flying schools in your area and see what you can do part time.

You shouldve followed your dream earlier.

You can still go to pilot school-- But be sure you have a job that you can fall back on if piloting doesn't work out.

I always wanted to be a pilot when I was younger. I still think it'd be really cool... Go for it!
