How many of you out there have basset hounds? I just love my two. Would you trade your spouse for one? I think I would.

I have a two year old male named Angus. he is awesome. The only thing that gets to me is the whining. Unless he is on your lap or you are physically touching him, he whines. And he always stinks! Even out of the bath. I don't get it. But I can't get rid of him.

I don't have basset hounds but I do have toy poodles and I know what you mean I wouldn't trade them for the world. They greet me everytime I come home. Even if I'm only gone for a short time they act like I'VE BEEN GONE FOR DAYS. I call them my babies. They are super. Some times I think I would trade my spouse for them, at least they don't complain like he does.

I have a 1/2 basset hound 1/2 fiest mix! She is only 10 wks old! And let me tell you, she is adorable. I love her to death but sadly I don't think I would trade my fiance for her.

I have 2 Bassets - Homer and Heather. Had 8 puppies in January and that was such an experience. I cried getting rid of them. My husband raised them back in the 1970's and had 57 of them - can you imagine????? But, no I wouldn't trade my hubby for them.

A dog for a dog? Makes sense to me!
I love no-legged dogs. Have had corgis and have weenies. No Bassetts so far but mom had one when I was a baby.

I'm not married, and don't have any bassett's but I do have 2 beagles and they are like my kids. I have also found they are much more loyal and appreciative then any female I have ever dated.

I did have one, but sadly she was hit by a car!!!! She was the best dog ever!!! We had name her Roxzan after the song cause she loved to sing to just that song!!!!!
