Does anyone know how to tell if you're DVD is progressive scan?

If you have outputs on the DVD player labeled: Y, Pb, Pr; you have progressive scan.

If you only have the regular A/V out or Y,Cb,Cr, or S-video then you don't have progressive scan, since these are only for interlaced video.

You should be able to find it in the technical specs section of your DVD player's manual (you DID save the manual, right?) or if you pop the make and model number into a search engine you will probably find tons of info, sales listings, reviews, and maybe even the manufacturer's site with the specs for the player.e

most dvd's are progressive scan. it is the dvd players that you have to look for..

Check the docs that came with your unit or look it up on-line. Most manufacturers have all of their manuals in PDF format nowadays.
