16 oz in a pound and 8 pints in a gallon. I have to draw a picture I use with my 3rd grade class to help me remember...let me explain it. You start by drawing a large G (for gallon) inside the G you draw four big Q's for quarts. Inside each Q you draw 2 P's for pints, and finally in each P you draw 2 c's for cups, and this tells you all the conversions....16 cups in a gallon, 8 pints in a gallon, 4 quarts, and so on.
