My sister lives there just using her passport and has to leave the U.k. every six months. If you want to stay longer you will have to apply for a U.K. Visa. I'll enclose the link to the British Consulate's website. I'll be taking for granted that you are American. No offense intended if you aren't. Good luck!

How can anyone give u a straight answer 2 that question.It is up 2 the discretion of the immigration officer who u will deal with at the airport. Under normall circumstances most people gets six months 2 stay but only the immigration officer can make that decision.

well if your american like i am you can stay in the uk for up to 6months at a time i know cause i got here all the time

usally, you are aloud for three months as a tourist, after you need a visa.
