False Prophets

The "moral majority" isn't as big as it wants to make itself out to be. There are a lot of people(including christians) that respect other religons including Islam. Just sayins that all muslims respect Jesus and no christians respect Mohammad is a bit of a stereotype. The christians that respect others are out there, like another person said, you just have to listen. Generally its the ones that know the least that are the loudest.

Because Mohammad's teachings directly contradict the teaching of Jesus and thus he cannot be, for a Christian, any sort of a prophet save for a false one.
Muslims however, say that the Christian teaching of Jesus are not the actually teachings of Jesus but that the Apostles lied, corrupted things, and made stuff up. Thus they do not actually respect Jesus, but only respect who they think Jesus is.

It's a question of belief. Islam states that the Quran is the last revelation and MUhammad is the last prophet and as such all previous revelations are superceded by it. For christians to accept Muhammad as a prophet would be to accept that their beliefs are wrong and have been superceded. So technically they would be denouncing Christianity.
One fundamental basis of Christianity is the 'Sermon on the mount'. (pretty much all of Christianity is based on the New Testament) But Muslims don't believe in the resurrection, so Christianlty and Islam is fundamentally in conflict when comes to theological matters.

Because Muhammad lowered Jesus from Son of God, The Word made Man, to a mere prophet. We're sure Jesus doesn't respect him either.

Because prophet Muhamemd ordered his Muslim followers to respect Jesus, but Jesus did not order his followers to respect Muhammed, who was not there by the time of Jesus.

When the Islamics are killing people in the name of Mohammed, then I cant respect thier religion.
The Wahabbis, want to kill the "infidels", which is anyone but Islamic people...Meaning all of us!
How can I respect a Prophet that advocates killing everyone that doesnt believe in "his teachings"???
I will go with JESUS who is the CHRIST! JESUS was the only SON of GOD, who was resurected and went to Heaven, and all our sins were taken, for those who believe in HIM...

why should we respect the one who denied Jesus as son of God in his book. and Jesus told such person is Antichrist who denied Jesus as son of God. and no True Christian will respect antichrist.

Because at one time (I forget which one) a pope had proclaimed Mohammed to be the anti-christ. It was that act that started the devision between christians and muslims. It is pure ignorance and arrogance on the part of the christians as well.

First of all thank you for your question! I think its because they don't want to come any closer to muslimbeliefs and they want to let them know that no matter what they will always stick to thier beliefs. They have little respect for muslims however muslims still rtespect them which is what Islam teaches. And sorry to ask a question but are you muslim yourself?
