My Daughter is 6 months pregnant by a man in his late 20's, she is going to keep the baby with my help, my concern is the man is continuing to manipulate her, I'm afraid of what his intention are, the most information I have is that he's is married with children, and I just found out his true name, I'm at a lost and could really use some advice.

I found out that in the state of Nebraska if you are 16yrs if age and you have consented it is not statutory rape, but I'm still responsible until she is 19yrs, as soon as I was told she was pregnant I contacted the police and that is what they told me, I don't think that's fair, also she has to say she was raped, what she is totally in denial, to make thing even worst he gave her an S.T.D.

Unfortunately i've been threw what your daughter's going threw and it was real hard! not only to be lied to by the father but it was hard on my mom finacially and mentally, i got pregnant at 16 and had my daughter when i was 17 her father is no longer in my life thanks to my mom's help. My best advice is stand by your daughter 100 percent, call the cop's and open up a case with child support, it's your choice she's still a minor and the best thing for her is to stop seeing him.

Start checking with your state's child support enforcement agency. Their services are free or cost is minimal, depending on the state. Most won't take any formal action until the child is born, but once the child is born, most can offer free genetic testing and then proceed to obtain an order for monetary and medical support for the baby.
Also, if you don't want this ... well, technically he's a rapist, isn't he? (sorry) - but if you don't want him around, start looking for an attorney who knows how to get this guy surrender his parental rights. (In most states, he has no parental rights without putting his name on the birth certificate or obtaining a court order, but the surrendering of parental rights will usually prove quite popular to a loser like this, who has deceived not only your daughter but his own wife and children. And if you go that way, make sure your attorney makes the loser pay the attorney and court fees.

He needs to reported to the police and brought up on charges of statutory rape- you wouldn't want him to be doing this to other teen age girls would you? Then he needs to be taken to court after the baby is born for child support-my advice would be to get a lawyer especially since it seems as if she will be needing protection against him as he is still in the picture. The lawyer can make sure everything gets taken care of and will steer you to what is legal and what needs to be done to protect both your daughter and the baby. This is important, do not let her talk you out of it. Best of Luck!

The first thing I would do is call the police and turn him in. Don't give into your daughter's pleading. He is a CRIMINAL and your daughter will thank you later on in her life.2nd on the list is to notify his wife(if they have any young daughters/boys it would be the right thing to do. this man is a child predator and if he has done it once who says he won't do it to his kids) No matter what you need to have this man prosecuted to the FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW!! good luck, and remember that your daughter is still a child even though she is having her own baby....you still need to protect her even if she doesn't want to be. You should also go to the court house and file a no contact order against him.

Similar situation happened in my family-without the pregnancy. My sister was 15 and the guy was 30. He is now sitting in jail for 20 years. I would imagine the guy that did this to your daughter would get a longer sentence. He got 20 years just for having sex with my sister. Getting someone pregnant is way worse. GOOD LUCK with the new baby! I am very happy that you are supporting your daughter in the decision to keep the baby!!!

First of all it is illegal!!! That is called staitory rape! Call the police and file a report against him! The fact that she is pregnant means that you have proof of the rape. Talk to her about adoption. Explain to her that you are not responsible for her baby and you will not raise it. Then after she has the baby get her on birth control. Also take her to the doctor and have the doctor check her for stds.

ok- this man has already caused alot of pain in your family and sounds to me that he is a "player:" Since your daughter is only 16 years old you could probably get a restraining order against him. You sound like a real understanding mother, and I am sure everthing will work out ok. When the baby comes I am sure that will be your healing from all the crap this guy has put you and your daughter thru.

I'd be finiding out some facts....
Number 1, this sounds like statutory rape in any state of our union.
is his wife/family aware that your daughter is pregnant...
does he plan on supporting this child?
will this child be legally taking his name?
will he be signing away his legal rights to this child?
will he be sharing in the hospital/birthing expenses?
I'd be contacting the police & seeking some free legal counsel or call your attorney if you have one, it's better to be safe than sorry. Get the legalities taken care of now before the baby is born!!
