I agree, that would be distracting and slightly bothersome, but you can deal with it by trying to ignore it. Or ask them why they even do it! Let them know it looks gross or that it's distracting.

I know someone who sucks their tounge, what i did i just said thats unusual, and when they said what because they do it unknowingly sometimes, so it becomes more apparent when you bring it to their attention, it makes them more aware their doing it.
