How would getting nailed to a cross save anyone?

No he was just the Nelson Mandella of his day, the authourites considered him a threat so killed him painfully and publically.

Or he got taken down before he died but unconcious

There is no such things as heaven or sin... Ethics are how you treat others...

Nothing changed when he died, nothing and nobody was saved from anything

On top of that he did not stop gays being persecuted by christins, what bout the witch burning, inquistions, relgious wars etc? they would have been saved if sticnking christinity had never been created... only islam is worse

Yes, I believe that statement. You start by thanking Him, and you sincerely ask for forgiveness for the sins you have committed in your life. You then tell The Lord (Jesus Christ) that you wish to commit your life to serving, glorifying, and praising Him and His Father. When I pray, I always like to thank Him for whatever pops into my head (a blessing that He bestowed on me, or part of His creation, or my family... whatever). After you finish talking to Jesus Christ, if you don't already have a church you should go "church-shopping" until you find one that fits you. I hope this answer was satisfactory.

Being a science student I can not believe this as it is just a story or a theory till it is proved. However there are quite a few good things to learn to improve oneself from all the holy scriptures. Jesus' story should inspire one and all regardless of one's religious faith to lead simple, clean good and useful life.

It is not the issue of whether i belief or not that will make the statement true or false. The bible said in John 3:16 That " God love th world so much that he gave his only begotten son Jesus to die for our sin that whosoever belief will not perish but have ever lasting life.
I belief so i have everlasting life

To save us ... from what?

To save us from... God's own wrath?
God sacrificed Himself to save us from Himself? Huh? Couldn't he just keep on not destroying us? If he loves us, why does he need us to ask for forgiveness? If he made us as we are, and we are imperfect, why does he require that we apologize for being imperfect, in order to spare us from eternal suffering?

To save us from.... ourselves? So that we would sin no more?
But we do sin, the "saved" and "unsaved" alike. Every day. Does this sound like his act of sacrifice worked?

If you can answer these questions, THEN I can tell you if I believe.

I believe with my whole heart! From time to time, I thank God for sending His only son to the cross to die for all of our sins and to give our souls the chance for eternal life. I pray to God in the precious name of Jesus.

I think it is just what some people want to believe or not. But I believe it is true with the exception that he rose from the dead all all of that stuff.

God hates sin and it works as a block - the more we sin the further away from God we become, so he sent Jesus to take on our sin (die for our sins so that we can have eternal life) so that we could have a relationship with God.
