I'm sure that question is on alot of people's minds.
I think it's ok, however, only if you are not a practicing gay (dating or married to someone of the same sex).
There are plenty of Christian gays that have turned not gay b/c they look at it as a sin, like alcoholism, and you have to overcome it.
I agree with that.

The great thing about living in America is that you have the right to pursue your happiness. If you choose to be gay, straight, trans gender, or whatever that's your choice. You have that right, and it's perfectly OK.

Just be you, and be happy being you. Don't let anyone make you feel bad because of their own views. If someone doesn't like you because of that, then they didn't deserve to be your friend.

Wow, now there's a controversial question! You'll get a good many diverse opinions with this question I'll assure you! In my opinion, I think it is, "NOT OK"!! It was not God's intention for people of the same gender to engage in relationships which involve the act of, "making love", to one another! I do believe that you can love someone who is your same gender, however, it is a different kind of love than the one you would feel for your, "partner", in life. There are a lot of, "different", kinds of love. The kind for your Parents, the kind for your Siblings, your friends, even the kind you feel for Humanity. It was his intention for us to, "LOVE", one another, not, "make love" to one another! That kind of love was set aside, and created by him, for those men and women who fall "in love" with, and want to marry, and start a "family" with each other. He set up guidelines, however, for those men and women who wish to marry, that they stay true, one, to the other, foresaking, ALL OTHERS, til death do they part. His intention too, was to, "populate the earth". I would like to see people of the same gender do that! They CAN'T do that, do you see what I mean? So, no, I do NOT believe that it is OK to be GAY!!!! I hope I've given you a little different perspective on this issue, and have helped you in your quest to find the answer to your question. Lots of Luck to you, Always willing to listen, Terry

Yep, it's ok.

It's important to make sure those are truly your feelings , and it's not a way of dealing with past events (sexual abuse for example) or insecurities.

Either way, a gay person deserves to be treated with the same love and respect as any other person!

Gay as in homosexual or as in happy? The person you need to ask is yourself. Is it ok with you? Why do you care what the world thinks of your own opinion?

Homosexuality is legally defined (as per the Pentagon on 6-25-06) as a mental disorder.

Of course it is! We are what we are, we don 't choose to be gay or straight. Its just a natural state that is probably a way for nature to try and control population. You can't let the ultra-religious types define your existence just because they think they speak for God. They don't. People who let other people's ignorance and fear define who they are as a person are just giving into what those ignorant bigots want.

We are what we are.
