It's because of your race. You are black,...so I assume your forefathers came from Africa...I have black hair (proud of it by the way)...and my peeps were from Asia. You and I have black hair and we are dark skinned, because the sun shines more where our races originated from. Brown skin - brown skin pigmentation is better...it doesn't make us get sunburn fast - if at all...makes sense, right? Now to our black hair...black absorbs heat...so why black hair by birth? Beats me!!!
Aha! This is why it is that our hair is black...apparently black hair has more melanin....the more melanin the darker the skin of the individual. Why?...be right back...I'll do more research. You could have done this yourself, you know. Now I'm hooked.
I'm back...silly me...I've already answered it...the more melanin...the darker the skin...the better protected the skin of someone who is exposed to sun a lot...therefore darker hair....stronger hair...to withstand exposure to heat.
I'm outta here....

Two gene pairs cntrol overall humanhair. Colour one gene has a brown blond pair has a dominant brown allele and recessive brown colour.

Gene pair is not red/red hair. where not-red allele(hich suppressed production of pheomelanm)is dominant and red hair allele is recessive. Since the two gene pairs both generic hair colour a person with two copies of red hair allele will hae red hair.but it will be auburn or bright reddish orange depending upon whether the firt gene paid gives a brown or blonde pair colour respectively. The recessive genes for both blonde and red hair are found in nearly exclusively in White and Caucasiaaaan populations.
However, these two gene model does not explain the various sheds.

The color of one's hair, skin and so on is based on gene and some external factors such as weather, environment, etc.

It's all about peoples ethnic background. (These are just generalities) People from say, scandinavian countries generally have fair (blonde) hair, Irish people black hair, Scottish people red hair, German's blonde. It all depends on what the person's ethnic background is. I'm french/indian (native) and have reddish brown hair.

i'm confused is this about hair or skin color???...anyways i'm hispanic and i love to color my hair when i'm bored as for a black person i think they could do whatever it is they feel like doing with their hair...its all about individuality...if it looks good on you then good for you but if it doesn't you will get attention for all the wrong reasons...hope this helped..
