To borrow a line from Maynard, "It's not like you killed someone". It seems pretty shitty to me that I come into this world already being deemed bad by this thing that supposedly created me. It just doesn't make sense. Wouldn't that also make the actual original sin God's sin? How can that be if He is infallible.
Bring on the smoke and mirrors.

The term 'original sin' refers to when Eve took a bite of the Forbidden Fruit. It is a blanket term that means that all humanity are sinners, regardless of whether they have actually sinned or not, because of Adam and Eve's 'original sin'. According to that line of reasoning, as soon as you are born you are a sinner and should repent, at least until you are 'saved' by the 'grace of Jesus Christ'. I think it is just an explanation for the more sinister aspects of the human psyche.

The Bible states God (the Designer) created man in his image. However, that image can only be obtained though evolution. Thus the first life form on Earth was Adam, the Amoeba (or Adamoeba in ID-speak). But Adamoeba was lonely, so God designed the process of binary fission by which Eve was created from the body of Adam.

But Adam(oeba) and Eve were bad. They osmotically ingested from the amino acid pool of Knowledge and were subsequently banished from the Puddle of Eden. Thus original sin was born. It is only through Science Harmoniously Integrating Theology (or S.H.I.T.) that all answers can be obtained.

If God had wanted a bunch of robots, he would have eliminated our ability to choose. But I don't think that's what he wanted. In order for there to be a choice between good and evil, obedience and rebellion, etc. there must exist something on both sides from which to choose. Adam and Eve chose wrongly. I don't know if we're held accountable for their sins, but I think we come up with enough of our own for which to be accountable. It's those for which we need forgiveness. I wouldn't worry too much about the original sins and focus on your own life.

Children don't have "the original sin", though it is in their blood. The original sin was choosing evil over good. Choosing to disobey. At that moment, humans suddenly gained the knowlege of good and evil. Without that knowlege, they weren't sinners. That traveled through the bloodline and when children reach a certain point in their lives, they begin to understand the difference between good and evil. But we are born innocent. The whole idea of that story is to show that God created us to love him, but he didn't want to make us do it. He wanted us to choose to do it so it meant so much more.

So that's the point. It's not about whether you're good or bad anymore. It's about what you choose to do.

No one is a born sinner. We commit sin out of ignorance. Ignorance about the nature of this world. We are not sinners, we just don't understand but we have to. That's one of the aims in our lives. Sin is not a genetic condition that it would get "passed on" from your parents. There is a way out of sin, it's hard work and un-selfishness.

Orignal sin was done away by the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we are no longer condemned, for the fall of Adam and Eve.

Anyone who says that we still have Original Sin does not truly believe in the full Atonement and power of Christ.

We are sinful from birth because we are all descendents of Adam and Eve, the original sinners. However, at the time of Christ Jesus our Lord, who died in place for our sins so that we could be forgiven if we asked for it, our sins are washed away and atoned for, thanks to God's great mercy and His love He has for us.

No. You have sin because of where you get your soul from. And you making a random connection against God with no logical argument doesn't work either.

It's in your blood. A Brown cow eating green grass producing white milk and yellow butter doesn't make sense.
