Well, you did not specify which "Black Box" you are talking about, I am going to assume you mean the CVR and FDR, people in the industry do not call those two black boxes, those are just media and layperson terms.
CVR's and FDR's are bright orange and they have reflective silver strips running diagonally.
There are many "Black Boxes" on a commercial bird, they all have names and nobody in the biz calls them black boxes.

it is orange because if a plane goes down orange is eiseir to spot in a burnt reck or bottom of the water. it is named black box to make the pilot feel like he in a james bond movie. the purpose of it is to record planes every move and pilots voice comands so if the plane does go down they no what the hell hapened to it
