Yes, most photographers should be willing to work with you to customize a package based on your actual needs. Do your research to see which photographers in your area would fit your needs and wants (digital or film, traditional or photojournalist style, who keeps negatives and rights to the photos, etc), and then talk to those that you're interested in. I don't know where you are, so I can't actually recommend anyone, but photographers are in a business that requires them to work around their customers' desires, so you shouldn't have too difficult a time finding one to put together a package that fits you - you just need to ask!

Hello,
Well, I am a wedding/portrait photographer..
I would be more than happy to do your wedding..Usually I shoot the wedding..at your requested time, and parts..and then I provide my clients with all the proofs and a CD..This way there is no copyright attached to the photos and you can get them printed at a commercial place...Much more affordable...I love travelling also, so I do not know where you live, but would not mind flying in for the day ..I shoot digital and film, I am a gal who is very much into also candid shots as well as formal or photojournalistic style....so transfering the files onto a CD throughout my laptop takes no time....We can view them instantly ot next day or what..not...Send me an e-mail if you are intersted....and I shall send my website over..or if you want a custom package..no problem..it iis your choice and budget we will work around it for sure!

well- you aren't just paying for the photos. you are paying for their time- aka- the amount of coverage you want. If they have to be there for 5hours- they will charge for that amount of time. Even if you only want them to snap 100 shots. Plus- in order to get 100 good shots- they probaly need to shoot 200 frames. You can purchase a smaller album from them if that is what you mean. The albums holding 75 prints will be more than those holding 30- so you can save money there. Or you can buy a package where you own the negatives- that way you can print your own photos at Sav-On and make your own album. This can save money as well.
Just ask the photographer you are looking at- usually they are happy to help you w/ your budget.
Hope this helps!

Yes. They have basic packages, but most will work around your budget. May I also suggest, check on Craigslist.com. There are a lot of freelance wedding photographers, and it's cheaper than going through a company.

YES. Even if a photographer doesn't have a "package" that you want, most of them will work with you and cater a special package to your needs. Remember YOU are hiring THEM, YOU tell THEM what you want!! Some photographers are sticklers about their prices, but keep shopping around!

When you decide on a photographer, you then choose a package that is best suited to your needs. If you only need 50 pictures, then you choose the basic package and so forth.

yes... if you have time before your wedding post an ad in a local paper. just because a photographer is semi-pro, or just do Photo's part time don't mean they are not good. get references and ask to see some of their work. If you live in the southeast Georgia, Tennessee,Alabama, Mississippi e-mail me @ photo_reflection@yahoo.com I know allot of photographers in this area.

Yes, it's possible. My future brother-in-law and his wife's gift to us is the photographer. They found one that would take all the pictures we want and burn them to a CD. The CD will be given to us with complete permission to print as many of the pictures we want in any size we want and the CD will always be ours. I think that's wonderful!! :)
