Before I answer this, let me say that I always like reading your questions. They challenge me. I am Christian. Just a simple Christian-not a fundamentalist wacko or a legalistic pain in the a$$. I try to be one of the good guys.

Yes, God does love you, even though you are an atheist.

Now--What you have to understand is that hell is not fire and brimstone or red guys with pitch forks and fire. Hell is separation from God. If you choose not to believe, then when you die you will be separated for eternity. In what we would call hell. It's that simple. You aren't condemned to some torture chamber with a Vincent price dude with horns taunting you. NOPE...Just separated forever. No beer, no sundries, no ranch dressing.

It's all based on choice.

God loves us all, but He gave us free will, which means He doesn't "force" us to love Him or obey Him. It's up to us to believe and live right and earn the right to go to Heaven. If we do believe, and try to live right, and ask God's forgiveness for our sins, and accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we're accepted into Heaven. It's your choice whether you do this or not.
God doesn't like evil, but evil exists.
My question - if you are atheist, how do you think we got here? Don't give me the evolution theory - even if that is true, where did the beginning come from? No matter how you slice it, we have a Creator. I just happen to call Him God.

I think God loves everyone. The Bible says you must accept God and repent of your sins in order to get to Heaven. Have you ever just prayed, "God if you are real, please speak to me and come into my heart." It certainly wouldn't hurt. You have nothing to lose. I realize Christianity is a religion of faith and that some of it is very unbelievable to a non-believer. I totally get that. But I asked God to come into my heart when I was 10, and I can honestly tell you I have not been the same since. Once God comes into your heart, there is no possible way to doubt He exists. I certainly hope you will at least give it a try, if for nothing else, to say you at least did.

God does love you. He created you. The most important part of creation is how you behave with other PEOPLE. Your direct relationship with God will go on after this world as it did before this life. You are here to be a good person. By doing that you are following the laws of God and will be going to an afterlife in heaven.

Do you truly believe in God or just the Idea of? Nothing against you preferrance, But he loves all of us, we just have to choose to believe in him. If one believes in teh fact that Satan can exist, why can't one believe that there is also the counter part God? there is always a Good for bad & vice verca...Maybe with time you can change ur opinion about him...It took me 17 yrs to come back to him, and I am so glad I did. I was way turned off about Chrisitanity as a teen, and now as an Adult, it makes mmuch more sense with yrs having gone by to see what was jaded then now I can make sense of...Good luck and maybe this helped

If you are an atheist, then you don't believe in God, so therefore don't believe that he loves you. Getting into heaven is dependent on belief in God, accepting Jesus as the Son of God and your persoanl saviour. Just because God loves all of us doesn't guarantee a ticket to heaven.

Actually, the greatest proof that God doesn't love us all equally is hell. For how can it be said He loves both the ones in heaven and hell equally. Obviously He doesn't.

As for why you're going, well that's because you're a sinner. And part of that sin is your denial of God.

Heh heh heh, I love how some people say that one can "choose" to go to hell, in spite of the Bible saying that people are predestined to be chosen BY GOD to be his worshippers.

Eph.1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will...(see also v.11)

If God has already determined what one's life is going to be, then he has determined who will go to hell, and nobody has any choice in the matter. Being omniscient, he knew, gazillions of years ago, whom he would choose, and created hell as a place for the ones he wouldn't choose. Yes, God created EVERYTHING, and that would include hell...otherwise, he is not the creator of EVERYTHING but only of SOME THINGS.

So, if atheists are going to hell, it's because sweet, loving, kind God chose us to go to hell. WE didn't choose to be atheists, but GOD did! So, dear Christians, witnessing to us will do you no good--you cannot change that which God has already decided. Hey, I didn't make the rules, I'm only repeating them here. I'm bringing extra hot dogs and buns just in case this "hell" thingy turns out to be real. Magneto, you wanna bring the condiments?

Yes, GOD does love all people, and people have a free will to accept GOD or not; but, if you believe in HELL, there must be something in the back of your spirit that questions your beliefs.

Yep, O Master of Magnetism, God loves you and no you are NOT going to hell. Why would a loving God condemn any child to a never-ending torment? It'd be worse just to leave us here on earth. Have a good one.
