what would the best way to hook up a sub for a 1 ohm operation?which is more efficient 1 ohm,2 ohm or 4 ohm?

The lower the impedance, the more power you will dray from your amp... on the same note, the lower the impedance, the faster you will overheat your amp. The higher the impedance, the lower you power output will be... but it will sound a great deal better. Lower impedance's tend to distort quite often. I prefer a 2ohm load.(kind of a best of both worlds) 4ohms will be much more efficient than that of a 1ohm load.

The best way is to bridge all the speakers but if your amp or amps are not 1 ohm rated, you'll simply fry them.
