You can use cooking oil. A LOT less expensive, and it works just as well.
Just add a couple of drops to each ear, and rub in. Repeat for a few days.
You'll have a coffee ground like discharge coming from their ears as they shake their heads, but that's totally normal. It's actually the ear mites coming out.
The oil removes them, and it also makes it harder for them to get earmites.
This is actually all I use.

My kittens were only 6 weeks old and couldn't use over the counter ear mite medicine. I was told Revolution was the best. I bought it from a vet, expensive stuff. It didn't seem to work at all. I started using the cooking oil thing and that seemed to do the trick and didn't cost near as much.

If your pet has any kind of parasite, you should always get medication from your vet. Over the counter medication may not be strong enough, they may be too strong. The biggest reason they normally don't carry the right dosage for the weight of your pet on the package. The vet can give you the correct medication and tell you exactly how much to give your animal for their weight and health.

you can get some at the pet store, however the vets have stuff that is better. also if you can get a hold of ivermectum, usually at feed stores you can add a couple of drops of ivermec to each ear and will kill them. i have done it with rabbits and cats for earmites
