Yes! Adam and Eve existed! The Bible states God (the Designer) created man in his image. However, that image can only be obtained though evolution. Thus the first life form on Earth was Adam, the Amoeba (or Adamoeba in ID-speak). But Adamoeba was lonely, so God designed the process of binary fission for which Eve was created from the body of Adam.

But Adamoeba and Eve were bad. They osmotically ingested from the amino acid pool of Knowledge and were subsequently banished from the Puddle of Eden. Thus original sin was born.

After God designed the process of genetic mutation to diversify the gene pool, Adam and Eve used asexual reproduction (they were not married, so there was no choice) to give birth to Cain and Abel. From that point on, they populated the world at an exponential rate through continued binary fission.

You see? It is only through the merging of Science and Theology that all answers can be obtained.

Doesn't sound like you know what ID means let alone irreducible complexity or paley's watchmaker argument to back it up at all and what the hell is your question? Seems to just be a ignorant claim without any good supporting evidence or logic to back it up. Keep reading and maybe you'll learn something.

The logic makes sense, (Did Adam's rib or Adam's ribosome go to Eve.) However, evolution would also explain this. God could have created Adameoba, but afterwards, he may have let evolution work by itself. God did not have to do anything to make Adameoba reproduce. The genetic mutations were not specifically controlled by God. God started the process, but he didn't interfere later on.

This idea has gone through my mind many times. Great minds think alike.

Given that Intelligent Design is Creationism, dusted off and given a new paint job so that it looks like science instead of religion, that's not too surprising.

Your story's a little odd, but it does bring up an important point; there really isn't as serious of a disconnect between Creationism and Evolution as people like to believe. If there is an all-powerful Creator, what's to say that He/She/It/They wouldn't create a self-sustaining system, in which lifeforms adapt to their surroundings? It would certainly be less maintenance, allow more time for golf or drawing his son's image on a potato chip.

Absolutely right! You forgot to add that DNA (Doublehelixed Noah's Ark) the substance of all life forms, floated on the surface of this gene pool, until it could crawl out of the pool and onto land. So glad we've cleared that up!

Wow, I've just checked some of these answers. Obviously God screwed up and only gave some of us a sense of irony!

all we know about evolution and all we know about intelligent design are mere educated guesses with no solid proof. nature is intelligence beyond our capacity to understand and nature cannot have been designed because it is so vast and complex..... however if we or insects and animals trees and plants were designed by a higher intelligence then perhaps life here has evolved from these original designs bringing evolution and i.d together as part of the plan...... they must have been very busy beings that's for sure because wait until you conceive all of the millions of billions of Galaxy's out there all with planets that life thrives on

In my opinion, there is no proof that they exist. However their story proves something else but you cant be serious. Point is, Adam and Eve story is just an exaggeration to teach the lessons of life.
Ughh... technology these days cant compare to the bible. Only artifacts can redefine the bible's stories.

It's funny that Intelligent Design is still pushed into Public school academics.

Even the Vatican rejected the notion that science should be discarded, and expressed distaste with the notion of ID taught alongside evolutionary theories.

ID has little merit outside of extreme religious circles.

The novel 'Angels & Demons' by Dan Brown (author of 'Da Vinci Code' postulates, among other issues, the notion that the apparent conflict between the theories of creation and evolution is erroroneous.
Further, it proposes that both ideas actually compliment each other!

God made Adam and Eve so that proves the existence.

you sad little person. science and theology deal with two very different aspects of existence. while science deals with what we can deduce of the world's structure from what we can experience, theology focuses on the fiction that there is a greater meaning or higher plain or whatever. You really should try thinking more and swallowing babble less.
