Dear please do not be deceived the only people who wage war in the name of God are the ...#%$*&, not that I want to point fingers, but they are the ones particular about fighting Gods battles, one thing we should all know is that God does not need any human to plead His case or stand up for Him, He is God Almighty who arranged the stars in the skies the way He wants, He keep the flood gates of Heaven and laid the foundation of this earth why would He need anyone except to worship Him.
But Christians are in the new dispensation where love is preached. Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself, if you love your self so much will you do thing deliberately to hurt yourself? If we can all think this way concerning our selves and we love other the same way, then there will be less strives in the world. But this sound to far fetched, can this attained? The Bible say as the end time approaches wars will break out and men will become lovers of themselves instead of God.
And the truth is that no one is better than another. We are all created in a unique way which only God knows why and only which He can appreciate. Also respecting each other is a virtue we should all have (esp. Christians) when Jesus walked the face of this earth He never condemned anyone but wanted all to be with Him in His Father's kingdom.
Finally the world we are is evil the more we try to walk upright the more we find ourselves doing the opposite, but the Bible says where there is sin God grace will be much more available so tap into His grace which is sufficient for you.
All the best

This is not based on my experience of being there, 2000 years ago, +-.
The persecution of Chrisitans began with the trial of Christ and subsequent crucifixion.
That has never ended. The wars in the name of Christianity had to spawn from revenge, which is NOT the teachings of Christianity.
Why do I have to convince you that I am better than you? No one is, unless you want to judge by wealth or material things. Be my guest if you want to do that. We'll leave this world the same as we arrived.
Unfortunately, more wars have been fought in the name of religion than any other motive. Sad, sad, indeed.

People lash out in different ways. Some with words...some with war. Right or wrong.
Question: When was the last time Christians went to war in the name of Jesus/God? ((Crusades don't count...))
If someone is starting a war in the name of God...or murdering innocent people because "God" told them to; must have a screw loose. ((If they - anyone takes the word of God and twist it for themselves or manipulate it to benefit from it will have the wrath of God to deal with...Heb. 10:21-25 ((This was paraphrased)).
This has nothing to do with respecting someones beliefs.
There are people that have no tolerance for non-belief in their religion (Islam is a perfect example). Muhammad had no tolerance for people that didn't believe in the Islam faith. ((Check history books for further proof)). ***Also, early Islam empires used a Crusades model to over throw Christians and Jews in North Africa, Egypt and Palestine.***
If there is a Christian that wants to share their faith...and there is a listener that wants to hear...We do! We don't torture or murder someone that doesn't have our same beliefs.

hmm a decent argument i see many flaws though, people already compete to be better, we strive to be the best of our race. and i do not hate you because of your beleife i hate your belefes because of you (just kidding) ill prove myself, you see when people look at things they say there side of the story but when, faith intevenes they follow it and do not listen to nor do they understand others stories, therefore hate is created, fear is created, and last but most definantly not least, war. war is created becasue people fear eachother, because people who once hated eachother developed fear causing them to act in very simple aggressive manners. that in which causes death and non-understanding. and so cruelty is born, it causes people to be horrible to others so that those they fear be forever punsihed, instilling fear into the cruel one, and so dominance is created for both fear and cruelty, amking kindness and happiness. its all apart of human nature.
