Whether or not you are going to hell has nothing to do with what you believe. You can 'believe' anything you want, but your destination in the spiritual world is a result of the condition of you heart, not your personal philosophy, doctrine, or creed.
This is an issue that is forever confused among many people, who think that just because they believe something that makes it so. Let's use an analogy: you have probably heard of the Eiffel Tower, in Paris, right? Large iron structure with four supports, yes? Well, right at this moment, this very second, there is something going on under the Eiffel Tower. Perhaps some tourists are standing under there taking pictures. Or perhaps a policeman is passing by underneath. Or perhaps a young couple is kissing under there. You may beleive that there are tourists there, I may believe there is a policeman under there, somebody else may even do some statistical analysis of pedestrian movement under the Eiffel Tower in order to distinguish, with the utmost probablility, just who or how many people are under the tower right at this very moment. You may even believe the study, which may be very convincing; it may even be correct.
However, regardless of what you or I or anyone may believe, there is a truth, a reality of just who is under the Eiffel Tower at this very moment. That truth transcends beleif; it is a given reality, even though we may not fully know what that reality is.
So too with God, and the invisible world, and all matters of faith and religion. You may believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster all you want, but that does not make such a thing exist or not exist. God, the source of truth and love, did not originate from your belief or non-belief, so you cannot make Him exist or not exist. You can not believe in Him if you choose, but that makes no difference at all. The overarching reality is that something is going to happen when you die: either heaven, or hell, or Nirvana, or the Cosmic Jello Land, or blank darkness.... but whatever that reality, or non-reality, will be is not going to be decided by your personal beliefs or lack thereof.
