Hard to tell. Depends on the build of the child. My girl is almost three and is just over 30 lbs. She's small for her age. Some bigger kids can hit 30 lbs at two.

You might also want to consider how mobile the child is, and how ... er, how to say this... mischievous. Some kids are determined to stay free-range and will find ways out of a playpen.

It depends on your baby, but usually by the time a baby is 30lbs, there is no way he would stay in a play pen anymore anyway. BTW, my son was 27 lbs when he turned 1, (he was almost 9lbs when he was born) but my daughter just turned 3 is she is 30 lbs now.

I wondered that when I was buying a new car seat. Like how long would it last until I would need something new. My child is only 22 lbs. at almost 23 months, she is healthy, but definitely small for her age. Another baby I know is almost 11 months, and weighs 24 lbs.

Depends on the baby and the sex of the baby. Usually boys are heaver than girls and while you might not reach 30lbs with a girl until age 3 you can assume you'll hit that range with a boy around 2 years old. Just from experience with my Grandchildren

well everychild grows at diffrewnt rates , some kids maybe 30 pounds but not look it because they have the height and then other kids may look chubby but arnt because of there height , i have seen 2 yr olds weigh 30 pounds so the best thing to do is when u take your child to the doc ask them exactly how much they weigh , and go by that cause no 2 kids are alike , my youngest son didnt wigh 40 pounds till he was 5 years old , when others in his class were weighing 50 pounds etc , each kids motabilisim etc is diffrent so just get him weighed

well put it this way by the time your baby reaches 30 lbs it should well be out of a playpen. If not you are over feeding your child.
