It's actually an additional source of fiber. The only drawback is that it could splinter and scratch and cause irritation to the throat when swallowing.

Actually, I know it doesn't taste bad, because the yummy salt on 'em made me do something crazy like that too...LOL! I doubt that it's bad for you....It'll pass like everything else. ;-) Watch out for the black shells in your teeth! Now, THAT'S not so cute! ;-)

actually you are getting more fiber this way. but if they're salted sunflower seeds, you're also getting more salt.

it taste fine and stuff.. but make sure to chew them well.. i dont think it is very dangerous.. but try not to do it all the time, just to be safe.
